When kitten season?

Hi, I would adopt a friend, and we decided on a kitten instead of a cat (cats age I have always had) and I've been looking for Petfinder, and it seems that many in the shelters in my area (I live in Massachusetts ).... What would be the best time to watch? And please do not bother me lectures on how to obtain a single cat .. if everyone did, the kittens would be sitting in the shelter alone. I've-always-has opted for an animal, this time as the ID of kitten.

The hottest months. Usually late spring to autumn. (March-October/November) and when I adopted my kitten, was in August, the shelter has been charged with the kittens. I too am in the same state, I live in the center of mass
