I have a male cat approx. 6 months old. He litter trained quickly (son found him abandded in the woods when ?

me2you asked:

cat was approx. 3 weeks) lately I've noticed the cat is peeing on either my bed or my sons'. I know he isn't spraying (unfixed male) because it doesn't have that male cat spray smell. He doesn't do it all the time. Could he have gone Dirty even though he doesn't do it all the time?
thank you.

Maybe he needs to be trained and he just wasn't used to the house before or maybe he is sick.Consult a Vet

ok you say your son found him abandoned in the woods, right? Well
that could say alot, because you really dont know what kind of history he has, or how he was treated before you found him. It could also be a medical problem. I suggest that you take your kitty to the vet for a good check-up. Good luck to you & your kitty ! :)

Cat Training Guide To Success

If hes 6mths old he needs neutering.then he can go out to toilet.Put a cat flap in for him. This might sound silly.but do you have a litter tray down for him?
If you have had him from 3wks old.are you changing something for him to feel insecure all of a sudden. You must have him neutered, this should help with the problem.because then he can go outside and wont need to toilet indoors,

Cat Training Guide To Success

I have had the same problem with some of my cats. And spoke with a vet.And was told that kidney or bladder infection sometime will cause them to pee anywhere they are instead of using a litter box.I made sure they had plenty of fresh water all the time..and that seemed to take care of the peeing everywhere problem.Never let your cat have milk..just clean fresh water..hope this helps!
