Any ideas on how to wean and litter box train my kittens?

My kittens are now 10 weeks old and I have been trying to get them weaned. They do eat kitten food, but then, they want to go back and want to nurse on their mother and I don't know what to really do to break them, please help and too I need some ideas on getting them to be litter box trained as well. When I would see them about to do their business, I grab them and put them in the box, and that's when they will go, but I want them to go on their own, any ideas on that? Thanks.

They are plenty old to be away from their mom. Just separate them for awhile and she should stop lactating. I’m surprised she hasn’t put a stop to this herself.
As for box training, just put several litter boxes around the house and ever time you see the kitten come into the room, pick them up and set them in the box so they know where it is. They’ll get the idea of what to use it for. I’ve never had a cat have a hard time with it. Just make sure there aren’t other alternatives that they could get confused by (i.e. a towel on the floor or a pile of newspaper). The litter box needs to be the most appealing place in the house to go to the restroom for them.

you will have to take them away from there mom and give her milk time to dry up so if they try there not gonna get anythin out. and with the litter box i have not had a problem out of the 10 yrs i’ve had cats getting them to use the box i just put it out and the used it

I’ve never had to deal with weaning a kitten from its mother, but when you are deciding where to put the litter box make sure it isn’t near their food, or they will be more likely to go somewhere besides the litter box. Also do not use clay litter, it is bad for small kittens and can make them very sick. If they get older and continue to have problems, be sure to see your vet, many times when cats aren’t using their litter box it is because they are sick, or because they have a bad experience in their litter box. When they do use their kitty box be sure to praise them, so they have positive associations with it
